My name is Xiaowen Hu and I am a senior at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park. As a double major in Accounting and Information Systems, this position would allow me to apply a wide range of Information Systems knowledge to real world problems, in addition to applying accounting principals to real world experience. By graduation, I will accumulate 150 credits to which qualify for the CPA, and my goal is to be certified as soon as possible to become a greater asset to the company. The on-hand responsibilities fit well with my personnel and computer skills in working with customers and teams. Additionally, my diversified experience provides me a better vision into accounting practices and how real world companies accumulate revenue and capital. It is greatly beneficial to read beyond the numbers and interpret data in a way that is not taught in textbooks.
